LANSING, Mich. — State Sen. Jim Marleau announced that $250,000 in grant money from the Michigan Strategic Fund (MSF) has been awarded to Bmax USA for the company to establish its first North American facility in the city of Pontiac.
Bmax is a provider of advanced metal processing technology solutions with broad, cross-sectional applications including the energy, automotive, aerospace and packaging industries.
“This is wonderful news not only for Bmax, but for the city of Pontiac as well,” said Marleau, R-Lake Orion. “The company is expected to invest more than $4.3 million in this project and create 26 jobs. I welcome Bmax to Oakland County.”
Marleau said Bmax chose Michigan over a competing site in Ohio and that the company is being awarded a Michigan Business Development Program performance-based grant. The city of Pontiac has offered support to the project in the form of hiring a relocation service consultant.
