Marleau sworn in for a second term as 12th District state senator

LANSING—State Sen. Jim Marleau was sworn in as senator of the 12th District on Wednesday during a ceremony at the state Capitol. Michigan Supreme Court Chief Justice Robert P. Young, Jr. administered the oath of office.

Marleau was re-elected in November to a second term as senator for the district.

On Tuesday, Marleau was appointed to the following Senate committees: Appropriations, Health Policy, Regulatory Reform, and Transportation.

“I am honored to serve the residents of the 12th District,” said Marleau, R-Lake Orion. “I will continue to work to create jobs, fix our roads and serve the residents of Oakland County.”
